Kina ima nevjerojatnih 79 posto udjela u globalnom proizvodnom kapacitetu baterija za električna vozila i premašuje SAD za šest posto.
- Ne namjeravamo postati svjetski lider, rekao je mađarski ministar vanjskih poslova u Pekingu prošlog listopada, o ambicioznim planovima svoje zemlje za proizvodnju, litij-ionskih baterija - jer je svjetski lider Kina.
Mađarska je sada treća s 4 posto i namjerava uskoro prestići Amerikance, objasnio je Peter Szijjarto tijekom posjeta Kini.
Uz 36 već izgrađenih tvornica, onih u izgradnji ili planiranih, njegove riječi nisu bile prazno hvalisanje.
Vlada Viktora Orbana stalno govori o svom "otvaranju prema Istoku", javlja BBC.
Kada je riječ o održavanju jakih gospodarskih veza s Rusijom, Budimpešta izaziva žestoke kritike.
Ali, u gospodarskom smislu važnije su sve jače veze s Kinom i Južnom Korejom. Električna vozila kamen su temeljac tog odnosa, i Mađarska izaziva ljutnju drugih članica EU-a, a ne njihovo odobravanje.
Do ovog ljeta između Budimpešte i kineskih gradova bit će 17 letova tjedno a Kina je lani postala najveći pojedinačni investitor u Mađarskoj sa 10,7 milijardi eura.
Gledajući prema jugu s tornja crkve u Debrecenu, čvrsti sivi građevinski blokovi kineske tvornice CATL protežu se u daljinu. Najveći svjetski proizvođač baterija ima veliko uporište u istočnoj Mađarskoj.
Sve do prošle godine suncokreti i uljana repica bojali su krajolik u zeleno i žuto. Sada su niknule i kineska tvornica separatorske folije SemCorp i kineska tvornica katoda EcoPro.
U međuvremenu, buldožeri u južnoj Mađarskoj skidaju tlo s površine od 300 hektara kako bi ga pripremili za kinesku mega-tvornicu električnih automobila BYD.
Južnokorejske i japanske tvornice ovdje su već počele proizvoditi baterije ili komponente za baterije.
- Mađarska je u središtu Europe iu neposrednoj blizini najvećih industrijskih igrača u automobilskoj industriji", kaže Noemi Sidlo iz mađarskog odjela kineske tvrtke CATL.
Orbanova vlada trudi se privući kineska ulaganja, obećavajući CATL-u 800 milijuna eura poreznih poticaja i infrastrukturne podrške.
Kad se tome doda kinesko ulaganje u brzu željeznicu namijenjenu povezivanju srednje Europe s lukama Solun i Pirej, entuzijazam Budimpešte za kineska ulaganja postaje još jasniji.
Kada kineski predsjednik Xi Jinping ovoga mjeseca dođe u Europu, posjetit će samo tri zemlje - Francusku, Srbiju i Mađarsku.
Što bi, možda, moglo poći po zlu za planove Viktora Orbana?
Mnogo toga, kažu njegovi kritičari. Ekološki prosvjedi protiv niza tvornica rastu, unatoč šutnji u medijima pod kontrolom Orbanove stranke Fidesz.
Protivnici ovih projekata se žale da nemaju mogućnosti osporiti projekte na lokalnoj razini jer im je dodijeljen status "pojačanog nacionalnog interesa".
Južno od Debrecena nalazi se lijepo selo Mikepercs koje je sada manje od gradilišta.
- Nitko nije protiv "zelenih" automobila", kaže lokalna aktivistica Eva Kozma, ali je silno nepravedno što su ovdje izgradili tako ogromnu tvornicu, a da nisu pitali lokalno stanovništvo.
Ona ukazuje na ekološke probleme koje uzrokuju tvornice baterija drugdje u Mađarskoj:
- Nema zelene budućnosti ako svi ovdje dobiju rak, samo zato da bi u drugim gradovima ljudi koji su sretniji od nas mogli juriti u svojim lijepim zelenim automobilima.
Noemi Sidlo iz CATL-a pak tvrdi da su takvi strahovi neutemeljeni.
Opskrba vodom također je veliki problem u Debrecenu. U Panonskoj nizini smanjene su zalihe podzemne vode, a vlada malo radi na tome da iskoristi vodu iz Dunava i Tise.
Mađarska riskira svoj status vodene velesile kako bi postala velesila baterija, kažu kritičari.
Drugi problem je radna snaga, u zemlji u kojoj je nezaposlenost ispod 5 posto.
Samo će CATL-u trebati 9000 radnika, ali mađarska vlada na izborima pobjeđuje pod sloganom "zadržimo migrante vani"!
Desničarski pokret Naša domovina nedavno je govorio o sve većem broj turskih radnika u Debrecenu, koji grade tvornicu BMW-a.
Spominje se i da će jeftina radna snaga, jeftina zemlja i velikodušni državni poticaji pretvoriti Mađarsku u "državu-sluškinju" kineskih i jugoistočnoazijskih kompanija.
Vlada priznaje da postoji rizik da će plaće ostati niske te da će to utjecati na domaće istraživanje i razvoj.
- Moramo uvjeriti investitore ne samo da ovamo dovedu proizvodnju, već i istraživanje. To je najveći izazov za sljedećih 10 godina, rekao je za BBC Balazs Orban, politički direktor Ureda premijera.

Kina ima nevjerojatnih 79 posto udjela u globalnom proizvodnom kapacitetu baterija za električna vozila i premašuje SAD za šest posto.
- Ne namjeravamo postati svjetski lider, rekao je mađarski ministar vanjskih poslova u Pekingu prošlog listopada, o ambicioznim planovima svoje zemlje za proizvodnju, litij-ionskih baterija - jer je svjetski lider Kina.
Mađarska je sada treća s 4 posto i namjerava uskoro prestići Amerikance, objasnio je Peter Szijjarto tijekom posjeta Kini.
Uz 36 već izgrađenih tvornica, onih u izgradnji ili planiranih, njegove riječi nisu bile prazno hvalisanje.
Vlada Viktora Orbana stalno govori o svom "otvaranju prema Istoku", javlja BBC.
Kada je riječ o održavanju jakih gospodarskih veza s Rusijom, Budimpešta izaziva žestoke kritike.
Ali, u gospodarskom smislu važnije su sve jače veze s Kinom i Južnom Korejom. Električna vozila kamen su temeljac tog odnosa, i Mađarska izaziva ljutnju drugih članica EU-a, a ne njihovo odobravanje.
Do ovog ljeta između Budimpešte i kineskih gradova bit će 17 letova tjedno a Kina je lani postala najveći pojedinačni investitor u Mađarskoj sa 10,7 milijardi eura.
Gledajući prema jugu s tornja crkve u Debrecenu, čvrsti sivi građevinski blokovi kineske tvornice CATL protežu se u daljinu. Najveći svjetski proizvođač baterija ima veliko uporište u istočnoj Mađarskoj.
Sve do prošle godine suncokreti i uljana repica bojali su krajolik u zeleno i žuto. Sada su niknule i kineska tvornica separatorske folije SemCorp i kineska tvornica katoda EcoPro.
U međuvremenu, buldožeri u južnoj Mađarskoj skidaju tlo s površine od 300 hektara kako bi ga pripremili za kinesku mega-tvornicu električnih automobila BYD.
Južnokorejske i japanske tvornice ovdje su već počele proizvoditi baterije ili komponente za baterije.
- Mađarska je u središtu Europe iu neposrednoj blizini najvećih industrijskih igrača u automobilskoj industriji", kaže Noemi Sidlo iz mađarskog odjela kineske tvrtke CATL.
Orbanova vlada trudi se privući kineska ulaganja, obećavajući CATL-u 800 milijuna eura poreznih poticaja i infrastrukturne podrške.
Kad se tome doda kinesko ulaganje u brzu željeznicu namijenjenu povezivanju srednje Europe s lukama Solun i Pirej, entuzijazam Budimpešte za kineska ulaganja postaje još jasniji.
Kada kineski predsjednik Xi Jinping ovoga mjeseca dođe u Europu, posjetit će samo tri zemlje - Francusku, Srbiju i Mađarsku.
Što bi, možda, moglo poći po zlu za planove Viktora Orbana?
Mnogo toga, kažu njegovi kritičari. Ekološki prosvjedi protiv niza tvornica rastu, unatoč šutnji u medijima pod kontrolom Orbanove stranke Fidesz.
Protivnici ovih projekata se žale da nemaju mogućnosti osporiti projekte na lokalnoj razini jer im je dodijeljen status "pojačanog nacionalnog interesa".
Južno od Debrecena nalazi se lijepo selo Mikepercs koje je sada manje od gradilišta.
- Nitko nije protiv "zelenih" automobila", kaže lokalna aktivistica Eva Kozma, ali je silno nepravedno što su ovdje izgradili tako ogromnu tvornicu, a da nisu pitali lokalno stanovništvo.
Ona ukazuje na ekološke probleme koje uzrokuju tvornice baterija drugdje u Mađarskoj:
- Nema zelene budućnosti ako svi ovdje dobiju rak, samo zato da bi u drugim gradovima ljudi koji su sretniji od nas mogli juriti u svojim lijepim zelenim automobilima.
Noemi Sidlo iz CATL-a pak tvrdi da su takvi strahovi neutemeljeni.
Opskrba vodom također je veliki problem u Debrecenu. U Panonskoj nizini smanjene su zalihe podzemne vode, a vlada malo radi na tome da iskoristi vodu iz Dunava i Tise.
Mađarska riskira svoj status vodene velesile kako bi postala velesila baterija, kažu kritičari.
Drugi problem je radna snaga, u zemlji u kojoj je nezaposlenost ispod 5 posto.
Samo će CATL-u trebati 9000 radnika, ali mađarska vlada na izborima pobjeđuje pod sloganom "zadržimo migrante vani"!
Desničarski pokret Naša domovina nedavno je govorio o sve većem broj turskih radnika u Debrecenu, koji grade tvornicu BMW-a.
Spominje se i da će jeftina radna snaga, jeftina zemlja i velikodušni državni poticaji pretvoriti Mađarsku u "državu-sluškinju" kineskih i jugoistočnoazijskih kompanija.
Vlada priznaje da postoji rizik da će plaće ostati niske te da će to utjecati na domaće istraživanje i razvoj.
- Moramo uvjeriti investitore ne samo da ovamo dovedu proizvodnju, već i istraživanje. To je najveći izazov za sljedećih 10 godina, rekao je za BBC Balazs Orban, politički direktor Ureda premijera.
