Da je pajasen ozbiljan problem na Marjanu kojem se mora dugoročno pristupiti, potvrdio je Marko Pejnović, ravnatelj Javne ustanove za upravljanje park-šumom Marjan na konferenciji za novinare koja je zajedno zajedno sa Splitskim skautskim zborom danas održana u prostorijama kotara Spinut.
- Prije pet godina 10 od 150 hektara šume je bilo pod pajasenom. Sada bi to moglo zauzimati površinu od 15 hektara, jer biljka raste četiri puta godišnje - upozorio je. Najkritičnije točke su protupožarni i Marjanski put.

Problem će se pokušati sasjeći u korijenu volonterskom akcijom čišćenja Park šume koju je organizirao Splitski skautski zbor u suradnji s Javnom ustanovom.
- Stručni suradnik na projektu je krajobrazni arhitekt Igor Belamarić. Trebala bi se provesti 4. 11. i 18. studenog. Do sada se 325 volontera iz srednjih i osnovnih škola prijavilo za sudjelovanje - rekao je Edi Perić, predsjednik Splitskog skautskog zbora na konferenciji za medije kojom je najavljena akcija.

Perić je objasnio da bi čišćenje trebalo trajati pet do sedam sezona, dok je Pejnović naglasio kako se mora čupati s korijenom, a ne sjeći jer na jednom mjestu.
- U četiri mjeseca dobijemo jednu mladicu na mjestu gdje se sjeklo koja se širi eksponencijalno - kaže Pejnović.
Učenici bi s čišćenjem krenuli od Zoološkog vrta spuštajući se niz padinu kako bi mogli iščupati više korijenja i pri tome se ne umoriti od posla.
- Metoda nije najučinkovitija, ali može poslužiti kao poruka Gradu da vidi mladost s kojom surađujemo. Izdvojiti subotu za čišćenje Marjana je hvalevrijedno, ali može biti i opasno jer pajasen izaziva alergiju kod određenog broja ljudi zbog čega će volonteri dobiti rukavice za zaštitu - rekao je Edi Perić, a Pejnović je iznio tužnu činjenicu kako Marjan vjerojatno nikada neće biti očišćen u potpunosti od pajasena.

Inače, pajasen ili divlji orah je opasna i invazivna biljna vrsta bez gospodarske koristi koja je stigla iz Azije u Europu u 18. stoljeću. Znanstvena istraživanja pajasena opisuju ovu biljku kao jednu od najviše invazivnih. Stablo godišnje proizvede do 325 tisuća sjemenki koje lako klijaju, otporne je na vjetar, niske temperature, sušu i gradska onečišćenja.

Da je pajasen ozbiljan problem na Marjanu kojem se mora dugoročno pristupiti, potvrdio je Marko Pejnović, ravnatelj Javne ustanove za upravljanje park-šumom Marjan na konferenciji za novinare koja je zajedno zajedno sa Splitskim skautskim zborom danas održana u prostorijama kotara Spinut.
- Prije pet godina 10 od 150 hektara šume je bilo pod pajasenom. Sada bi to moglo zauzimati površinu od 15 hektara, jer biljka raste četiri puta godišnje - upozorio je. Najkritičnije točke su protupožarni i Marjanski put.

Problem će se pokušati sasjeći u korijenu volonterskom akcijom čišćenja Park šume koju je organizirao Splitski skautski zbor u suradnji s Javnom ustanovom.
- Stručni suradnik na projektu je krajobrazni arhitekt Igor Belamarić. Trebala bi se provesti 4. 11. i 18. studenog. Do sada se 325 volontera iz srednjih i osnovnih škola prijavilo za sudjelovanje - rekao je Edi Perić, predsjednik Splitskog skautskog zbora na konferenciji za medije kojom je najavljena akcija.

Perić je objasnio da bi čišćenje trebalo trajati pet do sedam sezona, dok je Pejnović naglasio kako se mora čupati s korijenom, a ne sjeći jer na jednom mjestu.
- U četiri mjeseca dobijemo jednu mladicu na mjestu gdje se sjeklo koja se širi eksponencijalno - kaže Pejnović.
Učenici bi s čišćenjem krenuli od Zoološkog vrta spuštajući se niz padinu kako bi mogli iščupati više korijenja i pri tome se ne umoriti od posla.
- Metoda nije najučinkovitija, ali može poslužiti kao poruka Gradu da vidi mladost s kojom surađujemo. Izdvojiti subotu za čišćenje Marjana je hvalevrijedno, ali može biti i opasno jer pajasen izaziva alergiju kod određenog broja ljudi zbog čega će volonteri dobiti rukavice za zaštitu - rekao je Edi Perić, a Pejnović je iznio tužnu činjenicu kako Marjan vjerojatno nikada neće biti očišćen u potpunosti od pajasena.

Inače, pajasen ili divlji orah je opasna i invazivna biljna vrsta bez gospodarske koristi koja je stigla iz Azije u Europu u 18. stoljeću. Znanstvena istraživanja pajasena opisuju ovu biljku kao jednu od najviše invazivnih. Stablo godišnje proizvede do 325 tisuća sjemenki koje lako klijaju, otporne je na vjetar, niske temperature, sušu i gradska onečišćenja.
