Dok se nastavljaju globalni prosvjedi zbog rasne nejednakosti, najveća svjetska kozmetička tvrtka "L'Oreal" izbacit će iz naziva i opisa svojih proizvoda za izjednačavanje tena riječi koje se odnose na "bijelo" i "svijetlo".

Odluka je stigla dan nakon što je tvrtka "Unilever" učinila slično, a sve zbog rastućih kritika na društvenim mrežama. "L'Oreal" i "Unilever" dva su velika igrača na globalnom tržištu kozmetičkih proizvoda za izbjeljivanje kože, koji se koriste u mnogim azijskim, afričkim i karipskim zemljama gdje se svjetlija koža često smatra poželjnom.

"Unilever" je posebno bio na udaru zbog svoga brenda Fair & Lovely u vrijeme kad se svijet fokusira na rasne nepravde nakon višetjednih prosvjeda izazvanih ubojstvom nenaoružanog Afroamerikanca Georgea Floyda, kojeg je 25. svibnja ubio bijeli policajac.

Od proizvoda za posvjetljivanje kože "Unilever" je prošle godine samo u Indiji zaradio 500 milijuna dolara, a sad su najavili kako će izbaciti riječ "fair" iz naziva jer je brend "posvećen slavljenju svih tonova kože". Tvrtka "Johnson & Johnson" otišla je i korak dalje najavivši kako će prestati prodavati kreme za izbjeljivanje kože u Aziji i na Bliskom istoku iz svojih brendova Neutrogena i Clean & Clear.

"L'Oreal" se suočio s kritikama ranije ovog mjeseca, nakon što je tvrtka na Twitteru objavila kako se solidarizira s crnačkom zajednicom i protivi bilo kojoj vrsti nepravde. Ta je objava izazvala komentare u kojima se tvrtku optužuje za licemjerje jer je 2017. otpustila britansku manekenku Munroe Bergdorf nakon njezinih komentara o sustavnom rasizmu.

Ona je bila prva transrodna manekenka u britanskom ogranku "L'Oreala" prije nego što su je otpustili. U međuvremenu je u razgovoru u četiri oka Delphine Viguier, predsjednica "L'Oreal Paris", izrazila žaljenje kako je taj slučaj vođen, pa je Munroe ponovno angažirana i priključit će se savjetodavnom odboru za raznolikost i uključivost britanskog ogranka tvrtke.

Nekoliko američkih tvrtki najavilo je izmjene svoga vizualnog identiteta, među njima je i "Mars", koji planira promijeniti brend Uncle Ben's, koji koristi karikaturu Afroamerikanca kao svoj logo.

Dok se nastavljaju globalni prosvjedi zbog rasne nejednakosti, najveća svjetska kozmetička tvrtka "L'Oreal" izbacit će iz naziva i opisa svojih proizvoda za izjednačavanje tena riječi koje se odnose na "bijelo" i "svijetlo".

Odluka je stigla dan nakon što je tvrtka "Unilever" učinila slično, a sve zbog rastućih kritika na društvenim mrežama. "L'Oreal" i "Unilever" dva su velika igrača na globalnom tržištu kozmetičkih proizvoda za izbjeljivanje kože, koji se koriste u mnogim azijskim, afričkim i karipskim zemljama gdje se svjetlija koža često smatra poželjnom.

"Unilever" je posebno bio na udaru zbog svoga brenda Fair & Lovely u vrijeme kad se svijet fokusira na rasne nepravde nakon višetjednih prosvjeda izazvanih ubojstvom nenaoružanog Afroamerikanca Georgea Floyda, kojeg je 25. svibnja ubio bijeli policajac.

Od proizvoda za posvjetljivanje kože "Unilever" je prošle godine samo u Indiji zaradio 500 milijuna dolara, a sad su najavili kako će izbaciti riječ "fair" iz naziva jer je brend "posvećen slavljenju svih tonova kože". Tvrtka "Johnson & Johnson" otišla je i korak dalje najavivši kako će prestati prodavati kreme za izbjeljivanje kože u Aziji i na Bliskom istoku iz svojih brendova Neutrogena i Clean & Clear.

"L'Oreal" se suočio s kritikama ranije ovog mjeseca, nakon što je tvrtka na Twitteru objavila kako se solidarizira s crnačkom zajednicom i protivi bilo kojoj vrsti nepravde. Ta je objava izazvala komentare u kojima se tvrtku optužuje za licemjerje jer je 2017. otpustila britansku manekenku Munroe Bergdorf nakon njezinih komentara o sustavnom rasizmu.

Ona je bila prva transrodna manekenka u britanskom ogranku "L'Oreala" prije nego što su je otpustili. U međuvremenu je u razgovoru u četiri oka Delphine Viguier, predsjednica "L'Oreal Paris", izrazila žaljenje kako je taj slučaj vođen, pa je Munroe ponovno angažirana i priključit će se savjetodavnom odboru za raznolikost i uključivost britanskog ogranka tvrtke.

Nekoliko američkih tvrtki najavilo je izmjene svoga vizualnog identiteta, među njima je i "Mars", koji planira promijeniti brend Uncle Ben's, koji koristi karikaturu Afroamerikanca kao svoj logo.

Dok se nastavljaju globalni prosvjedi zbog rasne nejednakosti, najveća svjetska kozmetička tvrtka "L'Oreal" izbacit će iz naziva i opisa svojih proizvoda za izjednačavanje tena riječi koje se odnose na "bijelo" i "svijetlo".

Odluka je stigla dan nakon što je tvrtka "Unilever" učinila slično, a sve zbog rastućih kritika na društvenim mrežama. "L'Oreal" i "Unilever" dva su velika igrača na globalnom tržištu kozmetičkih proizvoda za izbjeljivanje kože, koji se koriste u mnogim azijskim, afričkim i karipskim zemljama gdje se svjetlija koža često smatra poželjnom.
