U Namuru, glavnom gradu belgijske regije Valonije, izrečene su novčane kazne putnicima koji su jeli ježeve. Naime, u Valoniji zakon o očuvanju prirode postoji od srpnja 1973. godine. Cilj mu je zaštititi divlje životinje, uključujući ježa.

Kazneni sud u Namuru izrekao je u ponedjeljak novčane kazne u iznosu od 1.600 eura četvorici optuženika zbog lošeg postupanja prema ježevima. Posljednji optuženik oslobođen je optužbi.

Događaj se zbio u ljeto 2020. godine. Optuženici su objavili fotografije na kojima pripremaju obrok od sedam ježeva. Životinje su ubijene udarcem štapa za vrat, napuhane su zračnom pumpom, prije nego što su kuhane, a zatim pečene na roštilju, piše RTL.be.

Jež je oduvijek bio simbol članova putničke zajednice, a jedenje ga se smatra tradicionalnim obrokom unutar ove zajednice, u kojoj su bila i četvorica osuđenih optuženika. "To je dio naše tradicije, sviđalo se to nama ili ne", izjavio je jedan od njih istražiteljima. Optuženici su na ročištu 12. prosinca objasnili da su francuski prijatelji, čija imena nisu naveli, donijeli životinje, već mrtve.

Tužitelj je zatražio dvomjesečnu uvjetnu kaznu za svakog od petorice optuženika. "Tradicija je bogatstvo, ali u ovom slučaju u suprotnosti je sa zakonom očuvanja prirode i dobrobiti životinja, a jež je zaštićena vrsta. Ova tradicija je ukorijenjena, ali će morati prestati."

U Namuru, glavnom gradu belgijske regije Valonije, izrečene su novčane kazne putnicima koji su jeli ježeve. Naime, u Valoniji zakon o očuvanju prirode postoji od srpnja 1973. godine. Cilj mu je zaštititi divlje životinje, uključujući ježa.

Kazneni sud u Namuru izrekao je u ponedjeljak novčane kazne u iznosu od 1.600 eura četvorici optuženika zbog lošeg postupanja prema ježevima. Posljednji optuženik oslobođen je optužbi.

Događaj se zbio u ljeto 2020. godine. Optuženici su objavili fotografije na kojima pripremaju obrok od sedam ježeva. Životinje su ubijene udarcem štapa za vrat, napuhane su zračnom pumpom, prije nego što su kuhane, a zatim pečene na roštilju, piše RTL.be.

Jež je oduvijek bio simbol članova putničke zajednice, a jedenje ga se smatra tradicionalnim obrokom unutar ove zajednice, u kojoj su bila i četvorica osuđenih optuženika. "To je dio naše tradicije, sviđalo se to nama ili ne", izjavio je jedan od njih istražiteljima. Optuženici su na ročištu 12. prosinca objasnili da su francuski prijatelji, čija imena nisu naveli, donijeli životinje, već mrtve.

Tužitelj je zatražio dvomjesečnu uvjetnu kaznu za svakog od petorice optuženika. "Tradicija je bogatstvo, ali u ovom slučaju u suprotnosti je sa zakonom očuvanja prirode i dobrobiti životinja, a jež je zaštićena vrsta. Ova tradicija je ukorijenjena, ali će morati prestati."

Tužitelj je za petero optuženih zatražio dvomjesečnu uvjetnu kaznu zbog lošeg postupanja prema sedam ježeva

U Namuru, glavnom gradu belgijske regije Valonije, izrečene su novčane kazne putnicima koji su jeli ježeve. Naime, u Valoniji zakon o očuvanju prirode postoji od srpnja 1973. godine. Cilj mu je zaštititi divlje životinje, uključujući ježa.

Kazneni sud u Namuru izrekao je u ponedjeljak novčane kazne u iznosu od 1.600 eura četvorici optuženika zbog lošeg postupanja prema ježevima. Posljednji optuženik oslobođen je optužbi.

Događaj se zbio u ljeto 2020. godine. Optuženici su objavili fotografije na kojima pripremaju obrok od sedam ježeva. Životinje su ubijene udarcem štapa za vrat, napuhane su zračnom pumpom, prije nego što su kuhane, a zatim pečene na roštilju, piše RTL.be.
