Ako ste ikada pomno pogledali gume na svom automobilu ili dodirnuli gume dok ste lutali po auto radionici, vjerojatno ste vidjeli te male dlačice koje strše iz njih. Možda ste se pitali zašto ih gume imaju. Jesu li tamo iz nekih sigurnosnih razloga?

Zamolili smo automobilske stručnjake da jednom zauvijek riješe taj misterij. Smještene na bočnoj strani, ove neobične male gumene dlake poznate su kao "brkovi gume". Prema Willu Robbinsu, direktoru strategije potrošačkih proizvoda za Bridgestone Americas, to su nusproizvodi procesa proizvodnje guma, piše Jutarnji list.

Prilikom izrade guma dolazi do procesa poznatog kao vulkanizacija. Tada se sirova guma zagrijava i oblikuje u oblik gume. Kada se kalup uzorka gaznog sloja utisne u novu gumu, nešto viška gume će iscuriti kroz male otvore ili kanale u kalupu. Kako se guma hladi i guma stvrdnjava, ti sićušni pramenovi ili dlake ostaju pričvršćeni za površinu gume.

"Svaki je kalup specifičan za veličinu i vrstu gume koja se izrađuje", kaže Robbins. "Kako je uzorak utisnut, dodatna guma traži način da pobjegne plijesni". Zanimljivo, gume dolaze bez određenog broja ventilacijskih otvora. Točan broj ovisi o dizajnu i veličini guma. Ali prisutnost "brkova" je univerzalna. Oni nisu ništa više od ostataka zamršenog procesa.

Prema Margarette Stine, stručnjakinji za automobile na 4WheelOnline. "Oni pomažu osigurati da u gumi nema zarobljenih plinova ili mjehurića zraka koji bi mogli ugroziti njezin strukturni integritet i performanse", kaže ona. Oni to ne čine. Budući da se nalaze na dijelu gume koji ne dodiruje cestu, Stine kaže da nemaju utjecaja na performanse po kišnom vremenu ili ukupnu udobnost vožnje.

Sada kada znate kako su te "dlake" dospjele tamo, možda ćete se osjećati pomalo nervozno ako ih ne vidite. Nemojte biti. Robbins kaže da se dlačice prirodno troše tijekom normalne vožnje, a njihova prisutnost ili odsutnost ne određuje je li guma sigurna. Puno je važnije redovito pregledavati svoje gume na znakove istrošenosti, poput smanjene dubine profila, pukotina ili ispupčenja, piše Jutarnji list.

Ako ste ikada pomno pogledali gume na svom automobilu ili dodirnuli gume dok ste lutali po auto radionici, vjerojatno ste vidjeli te male dlačice koje strše iz njih. Možda ste se pitali zašto ih gume imaju. Jesu li tamo iz nekih sigurnosnih razloga?

Zamolili smo automobilske stručnjake da jednom zauvijek riješe taj misterij. Smještene na bočnoj strani, ove neobične male gumene dlake poznate su kao "brkovi gume". Prema Willu Robbinsu, direktoru strategije potrošačkih proizvoda za Bridgestone Americas, to su nusproizvodi procesa proizvodnje guma, piše Jutarnji list.

Prilikom izrade guma dolazi do procesa poznatog kao vulkanizacija. Tada se sirova guma zagrijava i oblikuje u oblik gume. Kada se kalup uzorka gaznog sloja utisne u novu gumu, nešto viška gume će iscuriti kroz male otvore ili kanale u kalupu. Kako se guma hladi i guma stvrdnjava, ti sićušni pramenovi ili dlake ostaju pričvršćeni za površinu gume.

"Svaki je kalup specifičan za veličinu i vrstu gume koja se izrađuje", kaže Robbins. "Kako je uzorak utisnut, dodatna guma traži način da pobjegne plijesni". Zanimljivo, gume dolaze bez određenog broja ventilacijskih otvora. Točan broj ovisi o dizajnu i veličini guma. Ali prisutnost "brkova" je univerzalna. Oni nisu ništa više od ostataka zamršenog procesa.

Prema Margarette Stine, stručnjakinji za automobile na 4WheelOnline. "Oni pomažu osigurati da u gumi nema zarobljenih plinova ili mjehurića zraka koji bi mogli ugroziti njezin strukturni integritet i performanse", kaže ona. Oni to ne čine. Budući da se nalaze na dijelu gume koji ne dodiruje cestu, Stine kaže da nemaju utjecaja na performanse po kišnom vremenu ili ukupnu udobnost vožnje.

Sada kada znate kako su te "dlake" dospjele tamo, možda ćete se osjećati pomalo nervozno ako ih ne vidite. Nemojte biti. Robbins kaže da se dlačice prirodno troše tijekom normalne vožnje, a njihova prisutnost ili odsutnost ne određuje je li guma sigurna. Puno je važnije redovito pregledavati svoje gume na znakove istrošenosti, poput smanjene dubine profila, pukotina ili ispupčenja, piše Jutarnji list.

Ako ste ikada pomno pogledali gume na svom automobilu ili dodirnuli gume dok ste lutali po auto radionici, vjerojatno ste vidjeli te male dlačice koje strše iz njih. Možda ste se pitali zašto ih gume imaju. Jesu li tamo iz nekih sigurnosnih razloga?

Zamolili smo automobilske stručnjake da jednom zauvijek riješe taj misterij. Smještene na bočnoj strani, ove neobične male gumene dlake poznate su kao "brkovi gume". Prema Willu Robbinsu, direktoru strategije potrošačkih proizvoda za Bridgestone Americas, to su nusproizvodi procesa proizvodnje guma, piše Jutarnji list.

Prilikom izrade guma dolazi do procesa poznatog kao vulkanizacija. Tada se sirova guma zagrijava i oblikuje u oblik gume. Kada se kalup uzorka gaznog sloja utisne u novu gumu, nešto viška gume će iscuriti kroz ma...
