Šire područje Ploča odnedavno nudi još jedan zanimljiv sadržaj za lokalno stanovništvo i turiste. Planinarsko - tematska staza „Tragom bunkera“ proteže se brdskim područjem Striževo u Baćini, a tu je HPD Grabovica Ploče postavila tematsku stazu koja vodi do sedam bunkera i jednog topovskog spremišta, a prolazi kroz dva zaselka, prati suhozide i ilirske gomile. Staza je označena putokazima, markacijama i informativnim tablama na kojima se nalaze potrebni podaci.
Povijest staze seže u vrijeme Ilira
Na Striževu se prepliću različita povijesna razdoblja. Kroz ovu stazu posjetitelji će se upoznati s nasljeđem Ilira, legendom o Teuti, svjetskim ratovima, ali i narodnim običajima, mediteranskom arhitekturom, biljnim i životinjskim svijetom. Staza obuhvaća put koji je građen od 1942. do 1943. godine. No, njena povijest seže u vrijeme Ilira, oko 1000. godina prije Krista, o čemu svjedoči mnoštvo ilirskih gomila, grobnica i gradina koje staza prati. Prvi spomen na radove potječe iz 18. stoljeća, točnije iz 1774. godine, kada makarski provider Benedikt Antun Balbi naređuje uređenje i nadogradnju starih ilirskih putačina te ta kobaćinske staze dobivaju današnje obrise. Prilikom nadogradnje 1837. godine, austrijski je katastar na području Baćine zabilježio čak 62 kilometra uređenih staza. Na postojećoj antičkoj stazi, u svrhu utvrđivanja luke u Pločama, okupatorske su snage tijekom lipnja 1942. počele širiti cestu do strateških položaja na Striževu. Na većini striževskih brežuljaka gradili su bunkere i topovske položaje.

Staza se penje do najviše točke na 250 metara nadmorske visinei po težini je pristupačna i običnim izletnicima. Ono što je krasi su predivni pogledi na Baćinska jezera s jedne i more s druge strane. Na samu stazu može se doći iz dva glavna pravca. Ulaz iz Baćine, točnije Portine, nudi dvije mogućnosti, obilazak Striževa i 7 bunkera ili odlazak na vrh Višnjice- Požar, gdje se nalazi topovska bitnica, odakle se pruža pogled na ušće Neretve i poluotok Pelješac. Drugi je ulaz iz starog zaselka Bristovih Doca, do kojeg se dolazi autom s magistrale malo prije poznatog vidikovca iznad Baćinskih jezera kada se ide iz smjera Ploča. Od tuda postoje dva puta koja su spojena u kružnu stazu. Odabir smjera kretanja ovisi o više faktora kao što je vremenska ograničenost, stanje grupe ili neki prioriteti. Oba pravca nude dolazak osobnih automobila i autobusa na početne točke tematskog puta.
Na stazi više od 500 posjetitelja
- Kao planinarsko društvo prepoznali smo potencijal starih građenih kamenih staza kroz brdske predjele našeg kraja. Na području najjužnijeg djela Biokova i naselja Baćine, Peračkog Blata i Staševice više je od 70 kilometara ovakvih staza koje su sve povezane i nastavit ćemo raditi na njihovom očuvanju jer nas ove staze upoznaju s kulturnom, povijesnom i prirodnom baštinom našeg kraja koja je iznimno vrijedna i bogata. Staza „Tragom bunkera“ je jako dobro posjećena, posebno od lokalaca, koji do sada nisu bili upoznati s ovim područjem iako im se nalazi na „pola sata hoda od kuće“. Druga skupina koja posjećuje ovu stazu su planinari koji dolaze organizirano na izlet. Do sada smo imali velike skupine planinara iz Splita, Podstrane, Trilja i Makarske, a bilo je i više manjih grupa posjetitelja. Prema našoj procjeni, u prvih par mjeseci stazu je posjetilo više od 500 posjetitelja. Najesen imamo najavljeno još skupina, a dolaze nam i planinari iz Slovenije, kažu domaćini.

Planinarski dom u Baćini
Kad se otvori planinarski dom u Baćini, očekujemo veći priljev planinara iz svih dijelova Hrvatske i okolnih zemalja. Nastavit ćemo raditi na promociji ove staze, jer je smatramo vrijednom dolaska „izdaleka“. Osim toga, nastavljamo s čišćenjem i markiranjem i ostalih staza - kaže Matea Pirjevac, predsjednica HPD Grabovica i dodaje da im je cilj obogatiti ponudu za turiste i planinare.

Šire područje Ploča odnedavno nudi još jedan zanimljiv sadržaj za lokalno stanovništvo i turiste. Planinarsko - tematska staza „Tragom bunkera“ proteže se brdskim područjem Striževo u Baćini, a tu je HPD Grabovica Ploče postavila tematsku stazu koja vodi do sedam bunkera i jednog topovskog spremišta, a prolazi kroz dva zaselka, prati suhozide i ilirske gomile. Staza je označena putokazima, markacijama i informativnim tablama na kojima se nalaze potrebni podaci.
Povijest staze seže u vrijeme Ilira
Na Striževu se prepliću različita povijesna razdoblja. Kroz ovu stazu posjetitelji će se upoznati s nasljeđem Ilira, legendom o Teuti, svjetskim ratovima, ali i narodnim običajima, mediteranskom arhitekturom, biljnim i životinjskim svijetom. Staza obuhvaća put koji je građen od 1942. do 1943. godine. No, njena povijest seže u vrijeme Ilira, oko 1000. godina prije Krista, o čemu svjedoči mnoštvo ilirskih gomila, grobnica i gradina koje staza prati. Prvi spomen na radove potječe iz 18. stoljeća, točnije iz 1774. godine, kada makarski provider Benedikt Antun Balbi naređuje uređenje i nadogradnju starih ilirskih putačina te ta kobaćinske staze dobivaju današnje obrise. Prilikom nadogradnje 1837. godine, austrijski je katastar na području Baćine zabilježio čak 62 kilometra uređenih staza. Na postojećoj antičkoj stazi, u svrhu utvrđivanja luke u Pločama, okupatorske su snage tijekom lipnja 1942. počele širiti cestu do strateških položaja na Striževu. Na većini striževskih brežuljaka gradili su bunkere i topovske položaje.

Staza se penje do najviše točke na 250 metara nadmorske visinei po težini je pristupačna i običnim izletnicima. Ono što je krasi su predivni pogledi na Baćinska jezera s jedne i more s druge strane. Na samu stazu može se doći iz dva glavna pravca. Ulaz iz Baćine, točnije Portine, nudi dvije mogućnosti, obilazak Striževa i 7 bunkera ili odlazak na vrh Višnjice- Požar, gdje se nalazi topovska bitnica, odakle se pruža pogled na ušće Neretve i poluotok Pelješac. Drugi je ulaz iz starog zaselka Bristovih Doca, do kojeg se dolazi autom s magistrale malo prije poznatog vidikovca iznad Baćinskih jezera kada se ide iz smjera Ploča. Od tuda postoje dva puta koja su spojena u kružnu stazu. Odabir smjera kretanja ovisi o više faktora kao što je vremenska ograničenost, stanje grupe ili neki prioriteti. Oba pravca nude dolazak osobnih automobila i autobusa na početne točke tematskog puta.
Na stazi više od 500 posjetitelja
- Kao planinarsko društvo prepoznali smo potencijal starih građenih kamenih staza kroz brdske predjele našeg kraja. Na području najjužnijeg djela Biokova i naselja Baćine, Peračkog Blata i Staševice više je od 70 kilometara ovakvih staza koje su sve povezane i nastavit ćemo raditi na njihovom očuvanju jer nas ove staze upoznaju s kulturnom, povijesnom i prirodnom baštinom našeg kraja koja je iznimno vrijedna i bogata. Staza „Tragom bunkera“ je jako dobro posjećena, posebno od lokalaca, koji do sada nisu bili upoznati s ovim područjem iako im se nalazi na „pola sata hoda od kuće“. Druga skupina koja posjećuje ovu stazu su planinari koji dolaze organizirano na izlet. Do sada smo imali velike skupine planinara iz Splita, Podstrane, Trilja i Makarske, a bilo je i više manjih grupa posjetitelja. Prema našoj procjeni, u prvih par mjeseci stazu je posjetilo više od 500 posjetitelja. Najesen imamo najavljeno još skupina, a dolaze nam i planinari iz Slovenije, kažu domaćini.

Kad se otvori planinarski dom u Baćini, očekujemo veći priljev planinara iz svih dijelova Hrvatske i okolnih zemalja. Nastavit ćemo raditi na promociji ove staze, jer je smatramo vrijednom dolaska „izdaleka“. Osim toga, nastavljamo s čišćenjem i markiranjem i ostalih staza - kaže Matea Pirjevac, predsjednica HPD Grabovica i dodaje da im je cilj obogatiti ponudu za turiste i planinare.
