Noćni posjetitelj u Mikulićima se pretvorio u dnevnog. Štoviše, svjedoci tvrde da se mota i huče oko stogodišnje murve i u sumrak i u jutarnjim satima. Svakako, svi su mještani suglasni da se radi o sovi ‘povratnici‘, ovo će biti četvrta godina da se vraća u Konavle, kao da je roda. I baš su po tim ‘migracijama‘ domaći zaključili da gost mora biti ćuk, jedina naša sova selica. U proljeće se vraća sa zimovanja iz Afrike ili s južnijih točaka Sredozemlja, a čim zahladi napušta teren i kreće u toplije krajeve.

Umirovljenik Andrija Grgurin ponosan je jer je pticu neprimijećen uspio snimiti izbliza:

- Vrebao sam je par dana i konačno mi se posrećilo. Pazio sam da me ne vidi jer je plašljiva, mislim da je to ta ista koja nam stalno navraća. Kažu ljudi da se hrani miševima, ali kako susjedi blizu imaju kokošinjac, sumnjam da se ona spusti i počasti pšenicom, golokudom... kokoši neće dirati, ali zrna sigurno hoće- priča nam gospar Andrija koji je već viđao sove kako je gnijezde u rupama u zidu gdje su bile grede kad su stavljali ponte, između kuća.

Ćuk iz Mikulića često se i jednolično glasa, ali njegova melodija zasad nikome ne smeta. S ptičjim svijetom tu inače povezuju i već spomenuti stoljetni dud za koji Grgurin tvrdi da je među najvećima u Lijepoj našoj:

- Ni četiri odrasla čovjeka ne mogu ga obujmiti. U Osijeku ima jedno takvo stablo, a ima li još gdje, to ne znam. Ako je drvo staro i iznutra počne truliti treba ga pošegati, ali on opet pusti izdanke.Ova naša murva je bijela, nama je baš draga, a mogla bi biti i sovi – šali se naš sugovornik na temu (ne)zvanog gosta koji leti brzo i nečujno, pa je pravo postignuće uloviti ga u objektiv, makar i nakratko.

Ćuk je inače poznat po ustrajnom i monotonom zovu koji se nadaleko čuje i ponavlja svakih nekoliko sekundi kao prepoznatljiv zvuk ljetnih noći duž cijelog našeg priobalja.

Bliske susrete sa sovama u više navrata imali su i neretvanski ornitolozi hobisti iz Brkate sjenice. Jedan ranjeni primjerak jako nalik ovom konavoskom ‘izletniku‘ spasio je krajem prošle godine Bariša Ilić i odmah detektirao da se radi o sivom ćuku, poznatom i pod nazivom Athene noctua kojega još nazivaju i malom sovom.

Noćni posjetitelj u Mikulićima se pretvorio u dnevnog. Štoviše, svjedoci tvrde da se mota i huče oko stogodišnje murve i u sumrak i u jutarnjim satima. Svakako, svi su mještani suglasni da se radi o sovi ‘povratnici‘, ovo će biti četvrta godina da se vraća u Konavle, kao da je roda. I baš su po tim ‘migracijama‘ domaći zaključili da gost mora biti ćuk, jedina naša sova selica. U proljeće se vraća sa zimovanja iz Afrike ili s južnijih točaka Sredozemlja, a čim zahladi napušta teren i kreće u toplije krajeve.

Umirovljenik Andrija Grgurin ponosan je jer je pticu neprimijećen uspio snimiti izbliza:

- Vrebao sam je par dana i konačno mi se posrećilo. Pazio sam da me ne vidi jer je plašljiva, mislim da je to ta ista koja nam stalno navraća. Kažu ljudi da se hrani miševima, ali kako susjedi blizu imaju kokošinjac, sumnjam da se ona spusti i počasti pšenicom, golokudom... kokoši neće dirati, ali zrna sigurno hoće- priča nam gospar Andrija koji je već viđao sove kako je gnijezde u rupama u zidu gdje su bile grede kad su stavljali ponte, između kuća.

Ćuk iz Mikulića često se i jednolično glasa, ali njegova melodija zasad nikome ne smeta. S ptičjim svijetom tu inače povezuju i već spomenuti stoljetni dud za koji Grgurin tvrdi da je među najvećima u Lijepoj našoj:

- Ni četiri odrasla čovjeka ne mogu ga obujmiti. U Osijeku ima jedno takvo stablo, a ima li još gdje, to ne znam. Ako je drvo staro i iznutra počne truliti treba ga pošegati, ali on opet pusti izdanke.Ova naša murva je bijela, nama je baš draga, a mogla bi biti i sovi – šali se naš sugovornik na temu (ne)zvanog gosta koji leti brzo i nečujno, pa je pravo postignuće uloviti ga u objektiv, makar i nakratko.

Ćuk je inače poznat po ustrajnom i monotonom zovu koji se nadaleko čuje i ponavlja svakih nekoliko sekundi kao prepoznatljiv zvuk ljetnih noći duž cijelog našeg priobalja.

Bliske susrete sa sovama u više navrata imali su i neretvanski ornitolozi hobisti iz Brkate sjenice. Jedan ranjeni primjerak jako nalik ovom konavoskom ‘izletniku‘ spasio je krajem prošle godine Bariša Ilić i odmah detektirao da se radi o sivom ćuku, poznatom i pod nazivom Athene noctua kojega još nazivaju i malom sovom.
