Jim Redmond, jedan od sudionika najinspirativnijeg i najemotivnijeg trenutka u povijesti Olimpijskih igara, preminuo je u 81. godini života, prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

On je svome sinu, atletičaru Dereku,koji je stigao u odličnoj formi u Barcelonu pomogao da završi utrku na 400 metara nakon što mu je nakon 250 metara pukao mišić, piše Index.

Umjesto da potraži liječničku pomoć, pokušao je šepajući stići do cilja. Nakon nekoliko desetaka metara na stazu je utrčao njegov otac Jim, odgurnuo zaštitara i pomogao sinu da usprkos ozljedi sa suzama prođe kroz cilj. Međunarodni olimpijski odbor (MOO) je izrazio sućut obitelji, napisavši kako su otac i sin zajedno pružili jedan od najinspirativnijih trenutaka u olimpijskoj povijest.

-Što god se dogodilo, morao je završiti, a ja sam mu želio pomoći. Zajedno smo započeli njegovu karijeru i zajedno smo je namjeravali završiti, rekao je Jim 2012. godine kada je bio jedan od nositelja olimpijske baklje  u Londonu, objavio je Index.

Jim Redmond, jedan od sudionika najinspirativnijeg i najemotivnijeg trenutka u povijesti Olimpijskih igara, preminuo je u 81. godini života, prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

On je svome sinu, atletičaru Dereku,koji je stigao u odličnoj formi u Barcelonu pomogao da završi utrku na 400 metara nakon što mu je nakon 250 metara pukao mišić, piše Index.

Umjesto da potraži liječničku pomoć, pokušao je šepajući stići do cilja. Nakon nekoliko desetaka metara na stazu je utrčao njegov otac Jim, odgurnuo zaštitara i pomogao sinu da usprkos ozljedi sa suzama prođe kroz cilj. Međunarodni olimpijski odbor (MOO) je izrazio sućut obitelji, napisavši kako su otac i sin zajedno pružili jedan od najinspirativnijih trenutaka u olimpijskoj povijest.

-Što god se dogodilo, morao je završiti, a ja sam mu želio pomoći. Zajedno smo započeli njegovu karijeru i zajedno smo je namjeravali završiti, rekao je Jim 2012. godine kada je bio jedan od nositelja olimpijske baklje  u Londonu, objavio je Index.

Jim Redmond, jedan od sudionika najinspirativnijeg i najemotivnijeg trenutka u povijesti Olimpijskih igara, preminuo je u 81. godini života, prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

On je svome sinu, atletičaru Dereku,koji je stigao u odličnoj formi u Barcelonu pomogao da završi utrku na 400 metara nakon što mu je nakon 250 metara pukao mišić, piše Index.

Umjesto da potraži liječničku pomoć, pokušao je šepajući stići do cilja. Nakon nekoliko desetaka metara na stazu je utrčao njegov otac Jim, odgurnuo zaštitara i pomogao sinu da usprkos ozljedi sa suzama prođe kroz cilj. Međunarodni olimpijski odbor (MOO) je izrazio sućut obitelji, napisavši kako su otac i sin zajedno pružili jedan od najinspirativnijih trenutaka u olimpijskoj povijest.

-Što god se dogodilo, morao je završiti, a ja sam mu želio pomoći. Zajedno smo započeli njegovu karijeru i zajedno smo je namjeravali završiti, rekao je Jim 2012. godine kada je bio jedan od nositelja olimpijske baklje  u Londonu, objavio je Index.
