Za preživjele nakon uragana Katrina u Lower Ninth Wardu tada se to činilo kao uslišena molitva - 2006. godine Brad Pitt najavio je inicijativu obnove New Orleansa kojeg je uragan sravnio sa zemljom i to održivim protupoplavnim i lako dostupnim kućama, koje su trebali napraviti najpoznatiji dizajneri današnjice, piše The Guardian. Stotinjak kuća koje su se nudile dale bi još jednu šansu preživjelima da po prvi put postanu vlasnici svog doma i ponovno osnuju zajednicu kao prije uragana. Ni desetljeće nakon katastrofe nakon što su kuće dovršene uz veliku pompu, uključujući sve velike zvijezde današnjice, taj san postao je prokletstvo dok mnoge kuće propadaju zbog nedostatka uvjeta za život, a Brada Pitta brojni tuže, no neuspješno.

Kuće imaju stravičnu listu mana: proboj vode, trijemovi koji su istrunuli, stepenice koje se ruše, požari zbog električnih instalacija, problemi s vodovodnim cijevima i lošom ventilacijom, a sve to nabrojeno je u tužbi protiv Brada Pitta i njegove humanitarne zaklade koju su pokrenuli neki stanarai. Drugi su pak prijavili najezdu termita dok su se brojni korisnici kuća razboljeli zbog svega navedenoga.

Judith Keller, jedna od studentica urbanizma koja je živjela u jednoj od Pittovih kuća dok je radila istraživanje propale gradnje u 2018. vratila se nakon nekoliko godina i sve skupa našla u još gorem stanju. Iako neka zdanja nisu ni deset godina stara, moji podaci govore da je od svih kuća njih samo šest postalo u kakvom-takvom stanju - napisala je Keller u izviješću. Toliko plijesni napalo je građevine da su se morale potpuno srušiti kako se plijesan i s njome povezane bolesti ne bi dalje širile jer stanari nemaju sredstava za popravke, a nitko im u tome ne pomaže.

A sve je trebalo biti drugačije, jer neprofitni projekt zvan 'Make iz right' skupio je dovoljno sredstava i probudio svijest svijeta o strašnoj katastrofi. To je ujedno trebao biti i 'zeleni' projekt održivih stambenih objekata, gotovo utopijski, starter za ostala naselja i gradove koje su preživjeli slične prirodne katastrofe, no sve se svelo na tužbu protiv Pitta člije namjere zasigurno nisu bile loše. No eto, i sam Pitt odbio je odgovornost za propadanje projekta, a svi koji su uselili u 109 kuća mogli bi ponovno ostati bez svega.

Keller smatra da se država morala umiješati upravo kako individualni investitori i 'pomagači' ne bi izbjegavali odgovornost u ovakvim najprije humanitarnim projektima kako oni ne bi postali nastavak same katastrofe zbog koje su i nastali.

Za preživjele nakon uragana Katrina u Lower Ninth Wardu tada se to činilo kao uslišena molitva - 2006. godine Brad Pitt najavio je inicijativu obnove New Orleansa kojeg je uragan sravnio sa zemljom i to održivim protupoplavnim i lako dostupnim kućama, koje su trebali napraviti najpoznatiji dizajneri današnjice, piše The Guardian. Stotinjak kuća koje su se nudile dale bi još jednu šansu preživjelima da po prvi put postanu vlasnici svog doma i ponovno osnuju zajednicu kao prije uragana. Ni desetljeće nakon katastrofe nakon što su kuće dovršene uz veliku pompu, uključujući sve velike zvijezde današnjice, taj san postao je prokletstvo dok mnoge kuće propadaju zbog nedostatka uvjeta za život, a Brada Pitta brojni tuže, no neuspješno.

Kuće imaju stravičnu listu mana: proboj vode, trijemovi koji su istrunuli, stepenice koje se ruše, požari zbog električnih instalacija, problemi s vodovodnim cijevima i lošom ventilacijom, a sve to nabrojeno je u tužbi protiv Brada Pitta i njegove humanitarne zaklade koju su pokrenuli neki stanarai. Drugi su pak prijavili najezdu termita dok su se brojni korisnici kuća razboljeli zbog svega navedenoga.

Judith Keller, jedna od studentica urbanizma koja je živjela u jednoj od Pittovih kuća dok je radila istraživanje propale gradnje u 2018. vratila se nakon nekoliko godina i sve skupa našla u još gorem stanju. Iako neka zdanja nisu ni deset godina stara, moji podaci govore da je od svih kuća njih samo šest postalo u kakvom-takvom stanju - napisala je Keller u izviješću. Toliko plijesni napalo je građevine da su se morale potpuno srušiti kako se plijesan i s njome povezane bolesti ne bi dalje širile jer stanari nemaju sredstava za popravke, a nitko im u tome ne pomaže.

A sve je trebalo biti drugačije, jer neprofitni projekt zvan 'Make iz right' skupio je dovoljno sredstava i probudio svijest svijeta o strašnoj katastrofi. To je ujedno trebao biti i 'zeleni' projekt održivih stambenih objekata, gotovo utopijski, starter za ostala naselja i gradove koje su preživjeli slične prirodne katastrofe, no sve se svelo na tužbu protiv Pitta člije namjere zasigurno nisu bile loše. No eto, i sam Pitt odbio je odgovornost za propadanje projekta, a svi koji su uselili u 109 kuća mogli bi ponovno ostati bez svega.

Keller smatra da se država morala umiješati upravo kako individualni investitori i 'pomagači' ne bi izbjegavali odgovornost u ovakvim najprije humanitarnim projektima kako oni ne bi postali nastavak same katastrofe zbog koje su i nastali.

Za preživjele nakon uragana Katrina u Lower Ninth Wardu tada se to činilo kao uslišena molitva - 2006. godine Brad Pitt najavio je inicijativu obnove New Orleansa kojeg je uragan sravnio sa zemljom i to održivim protupoplavnim i lako dostupnim kućama, koje su trebali napraviti najpoznatiji dizajneri današnjice, piše The Guardian. Stotinjak kuća koje su se nudile dale bi još jednu šansu preživjelima da po prvi put postanu vlasnici svog doma i ponovno osnuju zajednicu kao prije uragana. Ni desetljeće nakon katastrofe nakon što su kuće dovršene uz veliku pompu, uključujući sve velike zvijezde današnjice, taj san postao je prokletstvo dok mnoge kuće propadaju zbog nedostatka uvjeta za život, a Brada Pitta brojni tuže, no neuspješno.

Kuće imaju stravičnu listu mana: proboj vode, trijemovi koji su istrunuli, stepenice koje se ruše, požari zbog električnih instalacija, problemi s vodovodnim cijevima i lošom ventilacijom, a sve to nabrojeno je u tužbi protiv Brada Pitta i njegove humanitarne zaklade koju su pokrenuli neki stanarai. Drugi su pak prijavili najezdu termita dok su se brojni korisnici kuća razboljeli zbog svega navedenoga.

Judith Keller, jedna od studentica urbanizma koja je živjela u jednoj od Pittovih kuća dok je radila istraživanje propale gradnje u 2018. vratila se nakon nekoliko godina i sve skupa našla u još gorem stanju. Iako neka zdanja nisu ni deset godina stara, moji podaci govore da je od svih kuća njih samo šest postalo u kakvom-takvom stanju - napisala je Keller u izviješću. Toliko plijesni napalo je građevine da su se morale potpuno srušiti kako se plijesan i s njome povezane bolesti ne bi dalje širile jer stanari nemaju sredstava za popravke, a nitko im u tome ne pomaže.

A sve je trebalo biti drugačije, jer neprofitni projekt zvan 'Make iz right' skupio je dovoljno sredstava i probudio svijest svijeta o strašnoj katastrofi.
