Priča o hripavcu je jedna vrlo složena priča. Nitko ne govori o respiratorima i o umiranju, a od hripavca se može završiti na respiratoru, ali i umrijeti. Sjećam se djeteta od 14 mjeseci života koje je bilo u komi tri mjeseca, a sve to zbog hripavca.

Moderna medicina više mu nije mogla pomoći, radili smo sve ono što smo naučili, što smo znali i što smo mogli. Nitko od nas nije očekivao da će to dijete preživjeti, ali dogodilo se čudo. Jedan dan je otvorilo oči, što bismo rekli, "došlo je sebi". Također pamtim dijete od samo nekoliko mjeseci koje je dva puta zakašljalo i prestalo disati i bila je potrebna brza liječnička intervencija, i opet je hripavac bio razlog - rekao je izv. prof. dr. sc. Ivo Ivić, infektolog i bivši predstojnik Klinike za infektologiju KBC-a Split za Slobodnu Dalmaciju.

Dakle, oni koji nisu cijepljeni protiv hripavca mogu umrijeti od hripavca, a oni koji su dijelom cijepljeni (jer se u tri navrata potrebno cijepiti) mogu dobiti hripavac.

- Točno. Nama je cilj i ono što je najbitnije - zaštititi najmlađe. Prenositelji hripavca su starija djeca i ljudi koji kašlju, imaju hripavac, odlaze kod liječnika, ali šire hripavac. Takvi koji prenose hripavac nisu u potpunosti cijepljeni. Oni, u pravilu, dugo kašlju i njima je to kašljanje prihvatljivo, odnosno ne smeta im puno, ali nisu ni svjesni toga da takvim kašljanjem mogu zaraziti dojenčad i malu djecu, zbog čega oni mogu završiti u bolnici, na respiratoru ili čak umrijeti - kaže dr. Ivić.

Godine korone

Sada imamo puno necijepljenih protiv hripavca, ali, kako kaže dr. Ivić, imali smo ih i prije.

- Istina, ali prije su ti koji se nisu cijepili bili prokuženi, odnosno mogli su prirodnim putem steći imunitet. Sada imamo akumulaciju neprokuženih jer tri godine zbog COVID-a nismo imali hripavac, gripu..., pa tako sada broj oboljelih množimo s tri, odnosno s tri godine što ga nismo imali.

Nije se jednostavno stekla imunost. Da ilustriramo. Dijete rođeno 2010. koje nije cijepljeno od hripavca moglo je od njega oboljeti 2020., ono rođeno 2011. od hripavca je moglo oboljeti 2021., a ono rođeno 2012. moglo je oboljeti 2022.

I onda je došla 2023. s te tri generacije koje se nisu prokužile, odnosno nisu se cijepile ili se nisu u potpunosti cijepile. I zbog toga sada imamo tako velik broj oboljelih, kao što smo prošle godine po školama i vrtićima imali velik broj oboljelih od gripe. Ljudi koji nisu stekli imunost šetaju se okolo i izmjenjuju infekte - govori dr. Ivić.

Koliko će potrajati ovakva situacija?

- Potrajat će nekoliko mjeseci, ali opet ponavljam, nama je važna dojenčad, da ona bude zaštićena, jer hripavac za njih može biti poguban. Majke se moraju cijepiti, pogotovo trudnice, ali i dojenče u trećemu mjesecu života (nakon toga još dva cijepljenja, u drugoj i u četvrtoj godini života).

Nažalost, ljudi više nikome ne vjeruju, ni meni, ni ne znam kome i to je ono što je najgore. Jednostavno žive po svom nahođenju i po nekim normama kojih se ne treba pridržavati - zaključuje izv. prof. dr. sc. Ivo Ivić.

Priča o hripavcu je jedna vrlo složena priča. Nitko ne govori o respiratorima i o umiranju, a od hripavca se može završiti na respiratoru, ali i umrijeti. Sjećam se djeteta od 14 mjeseci života koje je bilo u komi tri mjeseca, a sve to zbog hripavca.

Moderna medicina više mu nije mogla pomoći, radili smo sve ono što smo naučili, što smo znali i što smo mogli. Nitko od nas nije očekivao da će to dijete preživjeti, ali dogodilo se čudo. Jedan dan je otvorilo oči, što bismo rekli, "došlo je sebi". Također pamtim dijete od samo nekoliko mjeseci koje je dva puta zakašljalo i prestalo disati i bila je potrebna brza liječnička intervencija, i opet je hripavac bio razlog - rekao je izv. prof. dr. sc. Ivo Ivić, infektolog i bivši predstojnik Klinike za infektologiju KBC-a Split za Slobodnu Dalmaciju.

Dakle, oni koji nisu cijepljeni protiv hripavca mogu umrijeti od hripavca, a oni koji su dijelom cijepljeni (jer se u tri navrata potrebno cijepiti) mogu dobiti hripavac.

- Točno. Nama je cilj i ono što je najbitnije - zaštititi najmlađe. Prenositelji hripavca su starija djeca i ljudi koji kašlju, imaju hripavac, odlaze kod liječnika, ali šire hripavac. Takvi koji prenose hripavac nisu u potpunosti cijepljeni. Oni, u pravilu, dugo kašlju i njima je to kašljanje prihvatljivo, odnosno ne smeta im puno, ali nisu ni svjesni toga da takvim kašljanjem mogu zaraziti dojenčad i malu djecu, zbog čega oni mogu završiti u bolnici, na respiratoru ili čak umrijeti - kaže dr. Ivić.

Godine korone

Sada imamo puno necijepljenih protiv hripavca, ali, kako kaže dr. Ivić, imali smo ih i prije.

- Istina, ali prije su ti koji se nisu cijepili bili prokuženi, odnosno mogli su prirodnim putem steći imunitet. Sada imamo akumulaciju neprokuženih jer tri godine zbog COVID-a nismo imali hripavac, gripu..., pa tako sada broj oboljelih množimo s tri, odnosno s tri godine što ga nismo imali.

Nije se jednostavno stekla imunost. Da ilustriramo. Dijete rođeno 2010. koje nije cijepljeno od hripavca moglo je od njega oboljeti 2020., ono rođeno 2011. od hripavca je moglo oboljeti 2021., a ono rođeno 2012. moglo je oboljeti 2022.

I onda je došla 2023. s te tri generacije koje se nisu prokužile, odnosno nisu se cijepile ili se nisu u potpunosti cijepile. I zbog toga sada imamo tako velik broj oboljelih, kao što smo prošle godine po školama i vrtićima imali velik broj oboljelih od gripe. Ljudi koji nisu stekli imunost šetaju se okolo i izmjenjuju infekte - govori dr. Ivić.

Koliko će potrajati ovakva situacija?

- Potrajat će nekoliko mjeseci, ali opet ponavljam, nama je važna dojenčad, da ona bude zaštićena, jer hripavac za njih može biti poguban. Majke se moraju cijepiti, pogotovo trudnice, ali i dojenče u trećemu mjesecu života (nakon toga još dva cijepljenja, u drugoj i u četvrtoj godini života).

Nažalost, ljudi više nikome ne vjeruju, ni meni, ni ne znam kome i to je ono što je najgore. Jednostavno žive po svom nahođenju i po nekim normama kojih se ne treba pridržavati - zaključuje izv. prof. dr. sc. Ivo Ivić.
