Strašno, prestrašno. Naše ceste postale su ‘polja smrti‘, gotovo da ne prođe niti jedan tjedan, vikend, a da naslovi po portalima ne ‘vrište‘ o još jednoj tragediji, još jednoj prometnoj nesreći koja je uzela (mahom) jedan, dva, tri mlada života!

Čisto statistički (jedan je svjetski poznati tiranin govorio kako je ‘smrt pojedinca tragedija, a smrt milijuna – statistika‘), prošla godina je jedna od najgorih po tom pitanju. Čak 39 poginulih, gotovo dvostruko više nego li u 2022. (smrtno su nastradale 24 osobe), brojka je zbog koje se trebaju zabrinuti apsolutno svi. OK, vrijedi napomenuti da su ove brojke manje od onih prije 20 ili 30 godina...

Statistika otkriva i još ponešto. Tako je broj poginulih motociklista – u travnju i svibnju pogotovo ih (nas) liječnici nazivaju, poprilično sarkastično, ‘donatorima organa‘ – ogroman u usporedbi s njihovim brojem na cestama. Čak 11 je nastradalo motociklista, tek nešto manje od trećine ukupnog broja nastradalih. Ove godine, još jedna informacija za zabrinuti se, čak u četiri slučaja teških prometnih nesreća je zabilježen bijeg vozača koji je uzrokovao tragediju! To se prošlih godina gotovo nije događalo, a vrijedi napomenuti da su na kraju svi pronađeni i uhićeni, piše Slobodna Dalmacija.

Policija po svojoj prirodi reagira represivno i sigurno se dio žrtava u prometu tako smanji.

Sjetimo se samo kaciga i motocikala: iako je bilo obavezno njihovo korištenje i ranije, do početka tisućljeća je bilo uobičajeno vidjeti vozače skutera pa i sportskih motocikala kako jure gradskim prometnicama s vjetrom u kosi. Uobičajeno kod nas, jer čim se kroči izvan granica RH, kulturološki šok bio je neminovan pri pogledu na kacige ili barem ‘tute‘ na glavama vozača najbjednijih skutera pa i bicikli... I onda su kod nas uvedene masne kazne, krenule su policijske akcije i bez pardona ili iznimaka su kažnjavani vozači bez kaciga. Pa je danas, kao nekad u Italiji, nevjerojatno vidjeti motociklistu bez kacige.

Vjerojatno bi tako bilo i sada još rigoroznijom prisutnošću policije na cestama, makar je Zakon o sigurnosti prometa na cestama uz sve dodatka i izmjene, prilično dobar. Sankcije su također dobro odmjerene, čini nam se – kazne za alkoholizam ili prebrzu vožnju nisu male, pogotovo za recidiviste ili značajna odstupanja od dozvoljenog.

Možda bi trebalo i ‘finije podesiti‘ tu policijsku prisutnost, jer kamere i kontrole na mjestima koja objektivno nisu ‘crne točke‘ već su najjednostavnije, tu je najlakše uhvatiti prekršitelje ‘na baketinu‘, također ne pridonose nekoj generalnoj sigurnosti.

No, policije nema dovoljno, nisu adekvatno ni plaćeni, a uostalom i cijela ova problematika ne ‘leži‘ isključivo na kaznama. Svoje udjele u nesrećama imaju loše prometnice, relativno stara vozila (koja su onda po definiciji i manje sigurna od novih), a možda je najveća odgovornost na samim vozačima da ne sjedaju za upravljač pijani ili umorni, odnosno da ne tipkaju na mobitel dok je prometna gužva i stani-kreni režim, odnosno kad se vraćaju ‘iz programa‘ pa su ceste puste.

Teško je tako jednim potezom spriječiti stradanja u prometu. Ni puno razvijenijim zemljama od nas to nije uspjelo, barem ne odmah. Svijest o opasnostima mora se polako ‘ugrađivati‘ u svijest svih sudionika u prometu, pa čak i pješaka. Svijest o tome da ‘grim reaper‘ nikad ne spava, njega se teško može prevariti. Pa će onda i ove crne brojke početi padati...

Strašno, prestrašno. Naše ceste postale su ‘polja smrti‘, gotovo da ne prođe niti jedan tjedan, vikend, a da naslovi po portalima ne ‘vrište‘ o još jednoj tragediji, još jednoj prometnoj nesreći koja je uzela (mahom) jedan, dva, tri mlada života!

Čisto statistički (jedan je svjetski poznati tiranin govorio kako je ‘smrt pojedinca tragedija, a smrt milijuna – statistika‘), prošla godina je jedna od najgorih po tom pitanju. Čak 39 poginulih, gotovo dvostruko više nego li u 2022. (smrtno su nastradale 24 osobe), brojka je zbog koje se trebaju zabrinuti apsolutno svi. OK, vrijedi napomenuti da su ove brojke manje od onih prije 20 ili 30 godina...

Statistika otkriva i još ponešto. Tako je broj poginulih motociklista – u travnju i svibnju pogotovo ih (nas) liječnici nazivaju, poprilično sarkastično, ‘donatorima organa‘ – ogroman u usporedbi s njihovim brojem na cestama. Čak 11 je nastradalo motociklista, tek nešto manje od trećine ukupnog broja nastradalih. Ove godine, još jedna informacija za zabrinuti se, čak u četiri slučaja teških prometnih nesreća je zabilježen bijeg vozača koji je uzrokovao tragediju! To se prošlih godina gotovo nije događalo, a vrijedi napomenuti da su na kraju svi pronađeni i uhićeni, piše Slobodna Dalmacija.

Policija po svojoj prirodi reagira represivno i sigurno se dio žrtava u prometu tako smanji.

Sjetimo se samo kaciga i motocikala: iako je bilo obavezno njihovo korištenje i ranije, do početka tisućljeća je bilo uobičajeno vidjeti vozače skutera pa i sportskih motocikala kako jure gradskim prometnicama s vjetrom u kosi. Uobičajeno kod nas, jer čim se kroči izvan granica RH, kulturološki šok bio je neminovan pri pogledu na kacige ili barem ‘tute‘ na glavama vozača najbjednijih skutera pa i bicikli... I onda su kod nas uvedene masne kazne, krenule su policijske akcije i bez pardona ili iznimaka su kažnjavani vozači bez kaciga. Pa je danas, kao nekad u Italiji, nevjerojatno vidjeti motociklistu bez kacige.

Vjerojatno bi tako bilo i sada još rigoroznijom prisutnošću policije na cestama, makar je Zakon o sigurnosti prometa na cestama uz sve dodatka i izmjene, prilično dobar. Sankcije su također dobro odmjerene, čini nam se – kazne za alkoholizam ili prebrzu vožnju nisu male, pogotovo za recidiviste ili značajna odstupanja od dozvoljenog.

Možda bi trebalo i ‘finije podesiti‘ tu policijsku prisutnost, jer kamere i kontrole na mjestima koja objektivno nisu ‘crne točke‘ već su najjednostavnije, tu je najlakše uhvatiti prekršitelje ‘na baketinu‘, također ne pridonose nekoj generalnoj sigurnosti.

No, policije nema dovoljno, nisu adekvatno ni plaćeni, a uostalom i cijela ova problematika ne ‘leži‘ isključivo na kaznama. Svoje udjele u nesrećama imaju loše prometnice, relativno stara vozila (koja su onda po definiciji i manje sigurna od novih), a možda je najveća odgovornost na samim vozačima da ne sjedaju za upravljač pijani ili umorni, odnosno da ne tipkaju na mobitel dok je prometna gužva i stani-kreni režim, odnosno kad se vraćaju ‘iz programa‘ pa su ceste puste.

Teško je tako jednim potezom spriječiti stradanja u prometu. Ni puno razvijenijim zemljama od nas to nije uspjelo, barem ne odmah. Svijest o opasnostima mora se polako ‘ugrađivati‘ u svijest svih sudionika u prometu, pa čak i pješaka. Svijest o tome da ‘grim reaper‘ nikad ne spava, njega se teško može prevariti. Pa će onda i ove crne brojke početi padati...
