Maslinama tijekom cjelogodišnjeg ciklusa rasta i razvoja mora biti na raspolaganju dovoljna količina vode. Manjak vode u pojedinoj fazi izaziva stres koji se manifestira na različite načine. Većina maslinara primjećuje stres izazvan nedostatkom vode kada vlada ekstremna suša i iznimno visoke temperature. Prema procjeni DHMZ-a, tijekom ljeta nastupio je period agronomske suše.

Kratkoročan manjak vode u površinskom sloju tla u kritičnom razdoblju razvoja biljaka može uzrokovati agronomsku sušu. Početak agronomske suše može zaostajati za meteorološkom sušom, ovisno o stanju površinskog sloja tla. Visoke temperature zraka, niska relativna vlažnost zraka i vjetar pojačavaju negativne posljedice agronomske suše.

Posljedice su takve suše smežurani plodovi maslina, u kojoj su svi fiziološki procesi svedeni na minimum, i zbog toga su maslinari prionuli na zalijevanje. Budući da većina maslina nema sustave za navodnjavanje, a uz to se nalaze na terenima gdje nema izvora vode ili akumulirane vode, maslinari se snalaze na razne načine dovozeći ili donoseći vodu, jer treba spasiti barem nešto.

Ova ekstremno suha i vruća godina pokazala je važnost osiguravanja potrebne količine vode maslini u svim fazama rasta i razvoja. Na području meteorološke postaje Zadar od početka godine do sredine kolovoza zabilježeno je 220,3 litre vodenog taloga po četvornome metru, što je znatno manje od višegodišnjeg prosjeka.

Zbog suše koja traje cijelu godinu, ove je godine trebalo započeti s navodnjavanjem maslina u periodu razvrstavanja pupova i redovito ih navodnjavati do perioda intenzivne sinteze ulja. Ako se nastavi navodnjavati u periodu zrenja, tada će u plodovima biti manje fenola, izostat će pigmentacija ploda i berba takvih maslina počet će kasnije.

Svaki raspršivač zalijeva tlo širine krošnje

Uzimajući u obzir sve navedeno, u masliniku s 50 maslina u Dobropoljani na otoku Pašmanu započeo sam s navodnjavanjem maslina početkom svibnja i procjeniok sam da ću završiti oko 20. kolovoza.

U masliniku je ugrađen sustav navodnjavanja s mikroraspršivačima, od kojih je svaki kapaciteta 90 litara vode na sat. Raspršivači su smješteni uz deblo masline i zalijevaju površinu promjera četiri metra, odnosno širine krošnje.

Masline se nalaze u desetoj godini, posađene su na razmaku 6 x 6 metara, a od sorti zastupljene su leccino, frantoio, coratina i picholine marocco.

Izvor vode je bunar određene izdašnosti, pa se tijekom navodnjavanja mora o tome voditi briga. Naime, kapacitet bunara je takav da crpka može raditi jedan sat ujutro i isto toliko navečer. Zbog toga je sustav podijeljen u tri etaže s po dva reda maslina. Na ovaj način odjednom se navodnjava 16 maslina.

Voda za navodnjavanje je bočata i obrok navodnjavanja povećava se oko 20 posto da bi osiguralo redovito ispiranje viška soli u tlu ispod korijenova sustava maslina. Tlo ispod maslina je zatravnjeno, pa o tome treba voditi računa kod određivanja veličine obroka i razmaka između turnusa navodnjavanja.

Kako se ove godine pojačavala suša, razmaci između turnusa su se smanjivali jer zbog ograničenog kapaciteta bunara nije bilo moguće povećavati količinu vode u obroku navodnjavanja. Od početka navodnjavanja, kad je razmak između turnusa bio osam do deset dana, tijekom srpnja i početkom kolovoza taj se razmak smanjio na tri dana.

Rezultat redovitog navodnjavanja vidljiv je na svakom koraku. Plodovi su jedri i obavljaju redovito nakupljanje ulja, a porast mladica je izniman, što je vrlo važno jer pomaže razvoju novih izbojaka i pojačanom rastu krošnje, ali i formiranju većeg broja rodnih pupova za sljedeću sezonu. Jednako tako, navodnjavanje pomaže da stablo iznese rod u potpunosti bez većeg smanjenja rodnog potencijala i iscrpljivanja.

Maslinama tijekom cjelogodišnjeg ciklusa rasta i razvoja mora biti na raspolaganju dovoljna količina vode. Manjak vode u pojedinoj fazi izaziva stres koji se manifestira na različite načine. Većina maslinara primjećuje stres izazvan nedostatkom vode kada vlada ekstremna suša i iznimno visoke temperature. Prema procjeni DHMZ-a, tijekom ljeta nastupio je period agronomske suše.

Kratkoročan manjak vode u površinskom sloju tla u kritičnom razdoblju razvoja biljaka može uzrokovati agronomsku sušu. Početak agronomske suše može zaostajati za meteorološkom sušom, ovisno o stanju površinskog sloja tla. Visoke temperature zraka, niska relativna vlažnost zraka i vjetar pojačavaju negativne posljedice agronomske suše.

Posljedice su takve suše smežurani plodovi maslina, u kojoj su svi fiziološki procesi svedeni na minimum, i zbog toga su maslinari prionuli na zalijevanje. Budući da većina maslina nema sustave za navodnjavanje, a uz to se nalaze na terenima gdje nema izvora vode ili akumulirane vode, maslinari se snalaze na razne načine dovozeći ili donoseći vodu, jer treba spasiti barem nešto.

Ova ekstremno suha i vruća godina pokazala je važnost osiguravanja potrebne količine vode maslini u svim fazama rasta i razvoja. Na području meteorološke postaje Zadar od početka godine do sredine kolovoza zabilježeno je 220,3 litre vodenog taloga po četvornome metru, što je znatno manje od višegodišnjeg prosjeka.

Zbog suše koja traje cijelu godinu, ove je godine trebalo započeti s navodnjavanjem maslina u periodu razvrstavanja pupova i redovito ih navodnjavati do perioda intenzivne sinteze ulja. Ako se nastavi navodnjavati u periodu zrenja, tada će u plodovima biti manje fenola, izostat će pigmentacija ploda i berba takvih maslina počet će kasnije.

Uzimajući u obzir sve navedeno, u masliniku s 50 maslina u Dobropoljani na otoku Pašmanu započeo sam s navodnjavanjem maslina početkom svibnja i procjeniok sam da ću završiti oko 20. kolovoza.

U masliniku je ugrađen sustav navodnjavanja s mikroraspršivačima, od kojih je svaki kapaciteta 90 litara vode na sat. Raspršivači su smješteni uz deblo masline i zalijevaju površinu promjera četiri metra, odnosno širine krošnje.

Masline se nalaze u desetoj godini, posađene su na razmaku 6 x 6 metara, a od sorti zastupljene su leccino, frantoio, coratina i picholine marocco.

Izvor vode je bunar određene izdašnosti, pa se tijekom navodnjavanja mora o tome voditi briga. Naime, kapacitet bunara je takav da crpka može raditi jedan sat ujutro i isto toliko navečer. Zbog toga je sustav podijeljen u tri etaže s po dva reda maslina. Na ovaj način odjednom se navodnjava 16 maslina.

Voda za navodnjavanje je bočata i obrok navodnjavanja povećava se oko 20 posto da bi osiguralo redovito ispiranje viška soli u tlu ispod korijenova sustava maslina. Tlo ispod maslina je zatravnjeno, pa o tome treba voditi računa kod određivanja veličine obroka i razmaka između turnusa navodnjavanja.

Kako se ove godine pojačavala suša, razmaci između turnusa su se smanjivali jer zbog ograničenog kapaciteta bunara nije bilo moguće povećavati količinu vode u obroku navodnjavanja. Od početka navodnjavanja, kad je razmak između turnusa bio osam do deset dana, tijekom srpnja i početkom kolovoza taj se razmak smanjio na tri dana.

Rezultat redovitog navodnjavanja vidljiv je na svakom koraku. Plodovi su jedri i obavljaju redovito nakupljanje ulja, a porast mladica je izniman, što je vrlo važno jer pomaže razvoju novih izbojaka i pojačanom rastu krošnje, ali i formiranju većeg broja rodnih pupova za sljedeću sezonu. Jednako tako, navodnjavanje pomaže da stablo iznese rod u potpunosti bez većeg smanjenja rodnog potencijala i iscrpljivanja.
