Production crew for Game of Thrones arrive in Dubrovnik

Filming of the third season of the globally popular HBO series Game of Thrones will begin in Dubrovnik on the 27th of September and go onto the 7th of October, according to information from the Dubrovnik Tourist Board.Season 3 will be filmed in the Old City of Dubrovnik, which was the set for King’s Landing in the second series, and a new location the Trsteno Arboretum, which is rumoured to be the set for the Water Gardens of Dorne in the third series.The Dubrovnik Times can reveal that crew from the HBO production company arrived in Dubrovnik this afternoon, a full two-weeks before recording is planned, and are believed to be visiting the locations tomorrow.
