Ove godine u Gradcu je održana 110. zavjetna svetkovina sv. Roka. Ova značajna obljetnica potaknula je učenike OŠ Gradac da sa svojom mentoricom Brankom Perić, a u suradnji s Ivanom Andrijašević iz Zavičajne zbirke Gradac, istraže ovu stoljetnu tradiciju kroz projekt Zavjetna svetkovina sv. Roka u… siječnju. Projekt je prihvaćen na ovogodišnjem natječaju Centra izvrsnosti Splitsko-dalmatinske županije Čuvari baštine koji je namijenjen potencijalno darovitim učenicima u umjetničkom i humanističkom području, kao i svim učenicima koji su zainteresirani za projektnu nastavu, interdisciplinarni pristup, suradničko, istraživačko i inovativno učenje. Ovogodišnja tema bila je “Naše užance”, a odnosila se na nematerijalnu kulturnu baštinu.

Zanimljivo je da mještani Gradca zavjetnu svetkovinu sv. Roka, jednog od najštovanijeg srednjovjekovnog svetca Katoličke crkve, ne održavaju na njegov blagdan 16. kolovoza, nego 3. siječnja. Razlog tomu je epidemija nepoznate zarazne bolesti koja je započela je u prosincu 1911. i nastavila se u prvim danima 1912. godine. Nažalost, od posljedica bolesti umirala su gračka djeca budući da tadašnja medicina nije bila u mogućnosti odgovoriti ovom izazovu. Zato se narod odlučio obratiti sv. Roku, zaštitniku od zaraznih bolesti uopće, da po njegovu zagovoru Bog pomogne njihovoj djeci. Zajednička molitva svih mještana bila je uslišana i djeca su prestala umirati. Od tada vjernici Gradca svakoga 2. siječnja poste o kruhu i vodi, a 3. siječnja sudjeluju u zavjetnoj procesiji u čast zaštitniku sv. Roku.

U sklopu projekta „Zavjetna svetkovina sv. Roka u … siječnju“ učenici 8. razreda su, osim istraživanja literature vezane uz temu projekta, posjetili crkvu sv. Mihovila Arkanđela. Župnik fra Bone Bilić upoznao je učenike sa životom i djelovanjem sv. Roka koji je rođen u Francuskoj, u imućnoj obitelji. Već kao mladić počeo je pomagati siromašnima, a posebno bolesnima. Zbog toga je štovan kao zaštitnik oboljelih od zaraznih bolesti, invalida… Učenici su sudjelovali u procesiji te su o tome snimili i kratki film. Također su posjetili Zavičajnu zbirku Gradac, gdje ih je gospođa Mirjana Andrijašević upoznala s prošlošću Gradca te im pokazala brojne predmete koji se tamo čuvaju.

Projekt će učenici prezentirati načelniku Općine Gradac Matku Buriću te predložiti postavljanje trojezične info ploče u mjestu i tiskanje letka. Dogovorit će se i detalji oko postavljanja ploče u Gradcu koja će biti namijenjena ne samo gostima, nego i domaćima kako bi se ova tradicija starija od stoljeća sačuvala od zaborava.

Ove godine u Gradcu je održana 110. zavjetna svetkovina sv. Roka. Ova značajna obljetnica potaknula je učenike OŠ Gradac da sa svojom mentoricom Brankom Perić, a u suradnji s Ivanom Andrijašević iz Zavičajne zbirke Gradac, istraže ovu stoljetnu tradiciju kroz projekt Zavjetna svetkovina sv. Roka u… siječnju. Projekt je prihvaćen na ovogodišnjem natječaju Centra izvrsnosti Splitsko-dalmatinske županije Čuvari baštine koji je namijenjen potencijalno darovitim učenicima u umjetničkom i humanističkom području, kao i svim učenicima koji su zainteresirani za projektnu nastavu, interdisciplinarni pristup, suradničko, istraživačko i inovativno učenje. Ovogodišnja tema bila je “Naše užance”, a odnosila se na nematerijalnu kulturnu baštinu.

Zanimljivo je da mještani Gradca zavjetnu svetkovinu sv. Roka, jednog od najštovanijeg srednjovjekovnog svetca Katoličke crkve, ne održavaju na njegov blagdan 16. kolovoza, nego 3. siječnja. Razlog tomu je epidemija nepoznate zarazne bolesti koja je započela je u prosincu 1911. i nastavila se u prvim danima 1912. godine. Nažalost, od posljedica bolesti umirala su gračka djeca budući da tadašnja medicina nije bila u mogućnosti odgovoriti ovom izazovu. Zato se narod odlučio obratiti sv. Roku, zaštitniku od zaraznih bolesti uopće, da po njegovu zagovoru Bog pomogne njihovoj djeci. Zajednička molitva svih mještana bila je uslišana i djeca su prestala umirati. Od tada vjernici Gradca svakoga 2. siječnja poste o kruhu i vodi, a 3. siječnja sudjeluju u zavjetnoj procesiji u čast zaštitniku sv. Roku.

U sklopu projekta „Zavjetna svetkovina sv. Roka u … siječnju“ učenici 8. razreda su, osim istraživanja literature vezane uz temu projekta, posjetili crkvu sv. Mihovila Arkanđela. Župnik fra Bone Bilić upoznao je učenike sa životom i djelovanjem sv. Roka koji je rođen u Francuskoj, u imućnoj obitelji. Već kao mladić počeo je pomagati siromašnima, a posebno bolesnima. Zbog toga je štovan kao zaštitnik oboljelih od zaraznih bolesti, invalida… Učenici su sudjelovali u procesiji te su o tome snimili i kratki film. Također su posjetili Zavičajnu zbirku Gradac, gdje ih je gospođa Mirjana Andrijašević upoznala s prošlošću Gradca te im pokazala brojne predmete koji se tamo čuvaju.

Projekt će učenici prezentirati načelniku Općine Gradac Matku Buriću te predložiti postavljanje trojezične info ploče u mjestu i tiskanje letka. Dogovorit će se i detalji oko postavljanja ploče u Gradcu koja će biti namijenjena ne samo gostima, nego i domaćima kako bi se ova tradicija starija od stoljeća sačuvala od zaborava.

Učenici 8. razreda OŠ Gradac u projektu „Zavjetna svetkovina sv. Roka u … siječnju“

Ove godine u Gradcu je održana 110. zavjetna svetkovina sv. Roka. Ova značajna obljetnica potaknula je učenike OŠ Gradac da sa svojom mentoricom Brankom Perić, a u suradnji s Ivanom Andrijašević iz Zavičajne zbirke Gradac, istraže ovu stoljetnu tradiciju kroz projekt Zavjetna svetkovina sv. Roka u… siječnju. Projekt je prihvaćen na ovogodišnjem natječaju Centra izvrsnosti Splitsko-dalmatinske županije Čuvari baštine koji je namijenjen potencijalno darovitim učenicima u umjetničkom i humanističkom području, kao i svim učenicima koji su zainteresirani za projektnu nastavu, interdisciplinarni pristup, suradničko, istraživačko i inovativno učenje. Ovogodišnja tema bila je “Naše užance”, a odnosila se na nematerijalnu kulturnu baštinu.

Zanimljivo je da mještani Gradca zavjetnu svetkovinu sv. Roka, jednog od najštovanijeg srednjovjekovnog svetca Katoličke crkve, ne održavaju na njegov blagdan 16. kolovoza, nego 3. siječnja. Razlog tomu je epidemija nepoznate zarazne bolesti koja je započela je u prosincu 1911. i nastavila se u prvim danima 1912. godine. Nažalost, od posljedica bolesti umirala su gračka djeca budući da tadašnja medicina nije bila u mogućnosti odgovoriti ovom izazovu. Zato se narod odlučio obratiti sv. Roku, zaštitniku od zaraznih bolesti uopće, da po njegovu zagovoru Bog pomogne njihovoj djeci. Zajednička molitva svih mještana bila je uslišana i djeca su prestala umirati. Od tada vjernici Gradca svakoga 2. siječnja poste o kruhu i vodi, a 3. siječnja sudjeluju u zavjetnoj procesiji u čast zaštitniku sv. Roku.
